A law firm seeks a Licensing Attorney with 2-6 years of experience to join its Fintech and Financial Advisory practice in Washington, DC. The role involves providing legal support for a high-volume nationwide licensing practice, focusing on state and federally regulated financial services companies.

Duties

  • Assist clients with all stages of the licensing life cycle.
  • Conduct comprehensive multistate legal reviews.
  • Draft and compile state filings for license applications.
  • Advise on compliance obligations for regulated entities.
  • Engage in regulatory, compliance, corporate, and transactional work.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor and State Bar membership.
  • 2-6 years of legal experience in licensing matters.
  • Familiarity with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS).
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing state statutes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of federal consumer finance laws.
  • Strong communication and interactive skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
