Job Overview

A law firm seeks a corporate attorney for its Tax Credit Finance practice in Denver. This role is ideal for an attorney interested in developing expertise in debt, equity, real estate, and renewable energy tax credit financings. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners and gain knowledge in structured finance transactions.

Duties

  • Conduct due diligence and prepare related documentation for tax credit-advantaged transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents including operating agreements and loan documents.
  • Negotiate and structure complex financings and restructuring arrangements.
  • Assist with researching tax code changes and drafting client memoranda.
  • Participate in conference calls and address transactional issues with clients.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of structured or tax credit finance.
  • Strong organizational and matter management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and critical thinking ability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed, or pending licensure, to practice law in a U.S. state.
