Job Overview:

A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of healthcare regulatory and corporate transactional experience, preferably gained at a large law firm. The role requires superior academic credentials and exceptional writing, research, analysis, and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on healthcare regulatory matters and corporate transactions.
  • Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and other documents related to healthcare compliance and corporate law.
  • Assist senior attorneys in negotiating and drafting contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in due diligence reviews and investigations related to corporate transactions.
  • Support clients in regulatory compliance matters and respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies.
  • Attend client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the firm to provide comprehensive legal solutions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility to waive into the Texas Bar.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in healthcare regulatory and corporate transactional law, preferably at a large law firm.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
