Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Environmental and Natural Resources Associate to join its Richmond, VA office. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years of experience in state energy regulatory proceedings, particularly in Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia.

Duties

  • Engage in administrative litigation and related appeals to civil courts.
  • Review and draft testimony, legal motions, and briefs.
  • Present and cross-examine witnesses.
  • Conduct legal research and participate in the discovery process.
  • Comment on proposed rules and draft legislation.

Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Licensed and in good standing in Virginia; licensure in Maryland and/or West Virginia is a plus.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulatory programs.

Education

  • Superior academic credentials.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Virginia.

Skills

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
