Job Overview

A law firm seeks a licensed full-time attorney to join their team in San Antonio, TX. The role involves providing legal advice and representing clients at disability hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges. This position requires travel to hearings in various locations and is open to candidates residing in CA, TX, GA, FL, NV, TN, DC, NC, and SC.

Duties

• Provide legal advice to clients.
• Prepare for and represent clients at disability hearings.
• Conduct legal writing at the ALJ and Appeals Council levels.
• Communicate with clients via telephone, mail, and email.

Requirements

• Attorney license.
• 1-3+ years of Social Security Disability law experience.
• 200 or more hearings before SSA ALJs.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Reliability and dependability.
• Residence in one of the specified states.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in one of the specified states.

• Strong legal writing and research skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
