Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney in South San Francisco, CA, to practice Land Use and Environmental Law. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of substantive experience in this field, leading cases and mentoring attorneys while contributing to legal research and advocacy efforts.

Duties

  • Lead climate, energy, commercial, and residential cases before administrative agencies and courts.
  • Conduct legal research and advocacy to advance legislative priorities.
  • Supervise and mentor other attorneys, providing leadership and experience.
  • Investigate, develop, and enforce legal and regulatory issues related to project permitting and approval.
  • Represent clients before federal and state agencies, municipalities, and in court.
  • Participate in rulemaking, regulatory proceedings, and legislative hearings.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in environmental and/or public interest law.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
