Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Credit Finance Attorney in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have four to seven years of experience in credit finance transactions and corporate transactions, with at least three years specifically in credit finance. This role offers an opportunity to expand practice areas, focusing primarily on credit finance with some involvement in other corporate transactions.

Duties

  • Review, edit, and draft primary loan documents for secured and unsecured credit facilities.
  • Prepare legal opinions and collaborate with the opinion committee.
  • Advise on Article 9 of the UCC and strategies for security interests.
  • Serve as lead non-partner attorney on leanly staffed deals.
  • Assist with general corporate transactions, including equity financings and M&A.

Requirements

  • JD from a top-tier law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado or eligible for admission.
  • 4-7 years of experience in a top national or international firm.
  • Experience in corporate law beyond finance or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional interaction with clients.
  • Ability to identify legal issues and exercise sound judgment.

Education

  • JD from a top-tier law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado or eligible for admission.

Skills

  • Fluency with typical law firm technology stack.
  • Ability to learn new technology efficiently.
  • Experience with venture debt preferred but not required.
  • Entrepreneurial mentality and curiosity.
