Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Public Contracting and Complex Litigation Associate in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience representing public agencies, focusing on contracting, procurement, construction, and related litigation matters.

Duties

• Advise California public agencies on public contracting.
• Draft, review, and negotiate public agency agreements, including professional services and technology contracts.
• Litigate California public works and construction disputes, including delay and defective work claims.
• Assist with public agency litigation matters, including CPRA compliance.

Requirements

• Experience with California public agencies and contracting.
• Significant litigation experience in public works and construction disputes.
• Strong writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Client-service orientation and sound judgment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
