Job Overview:

This role is designed for a professional with experience in defending insurance companies against claims of bad faith and coverage disputes, particularly in relation to home, auto, and life insurance policies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and managing litigation matters, from discovery and depositions to settlement and trial.

Duties:

  • Defend insurers in bad faith and coverage litigation, particularly related to home, auto, and life insurance claims.
  • Analyze case materials and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Develop comprehensive case plans and litigation strategies.
  • Conduct discovery, depositions, and other investigative activities.
  • Draft and argue motions in court.
  • Participate in mediation and settlement discussions.
  • Represent clients at trial, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members on case management and legal strategies.

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience in bad faith litigation and insurance coverage.
  • Solid understanding of Arizona insurance laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal matters involving multiple parties and substantial financial stakes.
  • Experience in all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and advocacy.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Arizona State Bar.
