Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a highly skilled Senior Litigation Attorney with over 15 years of experience in commercial litigation to join their team in Uniondale, NY. Duties:

• Manage and lead commercial litigation cases from inception to resolution, including all aspects of discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring timely and effective resolution of disputes
• Develop and implement case strategies in both state and federal courts
• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts, managing all aspects of case documentation and communication
• Oversee junior attorneys and legal support staff, providing mentorship and guidance as necessary
• Handle settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures
• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and trial proceedings
• Stay updated on legal developments in commercial litigation and incorporate new approaches into case strategies

Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience in commercial litigation, with a proven track record of managing complex legal cases
• Extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions, depositions, and trial
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload
• Proficiency in litigation management tools and legal research databases

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission)
