Job Overview

A law firm seeks a senior-level Associate with approximately 7-8 years of state and federal corporate and commercial litigation experience to join their team in San Diego, CA. This role offers substantial client contact, practice development, and professional growth opportunities.

Duties

• Work on business litigation, including corporate and commercial matters, M&A, entity governance, contracts, real estate, and land use, and bankruptcy.
• Draft motions, discovery requests and responses, meet and confer correspondence, motion and trial briefs, settlement agreements, and client reports.
• Argue minor motions and make routine court appearances.
• Take and defend depositions and assist in trial preparation.

Requirements

• California bar admission.
• Approximately 7-8 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Experience in a private law firm setting.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications

• California bar admission.

Skills

• Strong writing, verbal, analytical, and research skills.
• Experience in moot court and/or law review preferred.
• Judicial clerkship experience is very helpful.
