Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Associate Attorney in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves managing a variety of litigation matters, including wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, and business disputes. The attorney will handle cases from inception to resolution, working with diverse clients and collaborating with experienced partners.

Duties

  • Manage litigation cases from start to finish.
  • Develop legal strategies and conduct research.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
  • Manage discovery and argue motions in court.
  • Attend mediations and participate in trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.

Requirements

  • 3-7+ years of civil litigation experience, including defending tort claims.
  • Experience in legal research and document analysis.
  • Proficiency in drafting memoranda on complex legal issues.
  • Experience in taking and defending depositions preferred.
  • Trial experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaboratively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar in the practicing jurisdiction or via reciprocity.
