Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled attorney with over five years of experience to join its private equity real estate and banking transactions practice in West Palm Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in real estate and corporate matters, fluency in complex joint venture structures, and experience negotiating and editing operating agreements.

Duties

  • Manage the full life cycle of private equity real estate and finance transactions.
  • Structure and document joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate core transaction documents.
  • Oversee legal due diligence and synthesize findings into risk assessments.
  • Manage closings, maintain checklists, and ensure accurate delivery of deliverables.
  • Lead and participate in deal calls and facilitate negotiations.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in private equity real estate, real estate finance, or banking transactions.
  • Mastery of core real estate and corporate documentation.
  • Proven ability to run transactions independently and manage multiple workstreams.
  • Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with fund structures, REIT considerations, and complex waterfalls preferred.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to at least one U.S. state bar, with eligibility for admission in Florida.

  • Clear and concise communication with clients and counterparties.
