Job Title: Trial Lawyer Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm based in Miami, FL is actively seeking a seasoned trial attorney with significant experience handling both jury and non-jury proceedings in state and federal courts. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in real estate disputes, commercial conflicts, business torts, and other high-stakes litigation. A demonstrated capacity for client development is essential, including an existing portable book of business. This role offers an opportunity for a strategic litigator to play a lead role in complex matters while expanding their practice within a supportive and entrepreneurial environment.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in trial and appellate courts in both state and federal jurisdictions

  • Manage and litigate complex real estate-related disputes

  • Handle claims involving corporate officers, directors, and business torts

  • Lead and advise on bankruptcy-related litigation

  • Defend and pursue insurance litigation and coverage disputes

  • Engage in case strategy, trial preparation, and courtroom presentation

  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to firm development initiatives

  • Collaborate with existing clients and generate new business opportunities

Requirements:

  • Substantial courtroom experience with first-chair trial responsibilities

  • Background in high-stakes commercial and real estate litigation

  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously

  • Existing portable book of business demonstrating the ability to originate work

  • Admission to The Florida Bar, or willingness to obtain admission promptly

  • Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction

  • Must obtain Florida Bar admission if not currently licensed in Florida

Skills:

  • Advanced litigation, negotiation, and trial skills

  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing abilities

  • Strategic thinking and case development expertise

  • Effective communicator with clients, courts, and internal teams

  • Entrepreneurial approach to client relationship development

Job Location:

This is a Florida-based business law firm. Its attorney team members are organized into four practice teams: the Administrative Law team, the Business Reorganization team, the Dispute Resolution team, and the Transaction team.
