Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate to join its Investigations, Compliance, and White Collar Defense department in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of litigation experience and will contribute to a diverse practice handling complex disputes across various sectors.

Duties

  • Conduct legal research and handle discovery processes.
  • Take and defend depositions and conduct witness interviews.
  • Draft pleadings, write briefs, and prepare and argue motions.
  • Prepare for trial and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of solid litigation experience, preferably with trial experience.
  • Proficiency in drafting and arguing motions or conducting depositions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bar membership in good standing in the practicing jurisdiction.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar membership in good standing.

  • Effective problem-solving capabilities and independent work ethic.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions that meet client and team needs.
