Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate to join its Emerging Business and Venture Capital Group in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience working with startups and emerging growth companies, handling a variety of corporate matters.

Duties

  • Assist with company formations and financings, including convertible notes and SAFEs.
  • Manage venture capital and private equity transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state securities regulations.

  • Advise on employment, consulting, and equity compensation matters.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Experience with venture-backed growth companies preferred.
  • Background in a reputable law firm or venture capital fund is advantageous.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admission to the state bar.
