Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled Intellectual Property Associate with a technical or engineering focus to join its dynamic team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have two to four years of experience in intellectual property matters, including patent and trade secret cases. This role requires excellent research and writing skills, strong advocacy abilities, and the capacity to work independently.

Duties

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents related to intellectual property cases.
  • Collaborate with team members on complex litigation matters.
  • Advise clients on intellectual property strategies and protection.
  • Represent clients in court and administrative proceedings.

Requirements

  • Two to four years of experience in intellectual property law.
  • Strong academic credentials and superior writing and communication skills.
  • Membership to the State Bar of Texas is required.

Education

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent preferred.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
