Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join their team in Lexington, KY. This role involves providing strategic legal support and guidance on matters such as divorce, legal separation, paternity actions, and estate planning. Duties

  • Prepare and draft legal documents for filing and correspondence.
  • Draft pleadings and motions, including judgments and orders.
  • Correspond with attorneys, court personnel, and clients regarding cases.
  • Interview and prepare witnesses for court cases.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all prepared documents.
  • Appear in court promptly on assigned cases.
  • Handle all aspects of assigned cases.
  • Perform administrative duties, including filing and organizing files.
  • Conduct legal research for specific issues.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree.
  • Kentucky license required.
  • Family law experience preferred but not required.
  • Senior Associate positions available for attorneys with five years or more of litigation experience.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Kentucky.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
