Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly experienced Labor and Employment Attorney for a full-time hybrid position in Lombard, Illinois. Duties

  • Manage all aspects of employment law cases, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour claims.
  • Formulate and execute comprehensive litigation strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Provide expert legal advice on employment contracts, employee rights, and compliance issues.
  • Oversee all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings and preparing trial documents.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, coordinate witness preparation, and review documents.
  • Lead settlement negotiations and participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Perform legal research on complex labor and employment law issues.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals.
  • Review and analyze documents relevant to case matters.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on employment litigation.
  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois; additional state licenses are a plus.
  • Proven success managing multiple cases with minimal supervision.
  • Expertise in federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FLSA, and ADEA.
  • Experience in taking and defending depositions and managing cases through all litigation phases.
