Attorney - Commercial and Industrial Lending Transactional Finance

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced C&I Finance Attorney in Uniondale, NY. The role involves working on complex commercial and industrial transactions, asset-based lending, and commercial finance. The attorney will manage transactions from initial term sheet to post-closing compliance, serving as a primary contact for institutional lenders and corporate borrowers.

Duties

• Prepare and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and related real property agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents, including term loans and security agreements.
• Manage due diligence, including title, survey, and lease review for C&I loans.
• Advise clients on transaction structures and closing complex deals.
• Support leasing matters as needed.
• Coordinate all aspects of C&I commercial finance closings.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with excellent academic credentials.
• Admission to the New York and/or New Jersey Bar required; Florida Bar admission is a plus.
• 4+ years of transactional and/or commercial finance experience, specifically in C&I lending.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Familiarity with UCC Article 9 secured transactions preferred.
