Business Immigration Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Business Immigration Attorney for a full-time, hybrid position based in Fairfax, VA, or Silver Spring, MD. The role involves managing a business immigration caseload, providing strategic legal counsel, and supporting clients throughout the immigration process.

Duties

• Manage a high-volume caseload of employment-based immigration matters.
• Prepare and file petitions and applications including E-2, H-1B, L-1, O-1, J-1, PERM, EB-2 NIW, and EB-1 cases.
• Draft legal briefs, supporting documentation, and responses to RFEs and other agency requests.
• Track deadlines and ensure timely filing with USCIS and other government agencies.
• Provide legal guidance to corporate and individual clients on immigration options and strategies.
• Communicate case updates clearly and professionally to clients.
• Work closely with paralegals and support staff to prepare filings efficiently.
• Stay current on immigration laws, regulations, and policy updates.

Requirements

• Active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business/employment-based immigration law.
• Experience handling E-2, H-1B, L-1, O-1, PERM, EB-2 NIW, and EB-1 cases.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction.
