Senior Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Attorney in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in all phases of commercial litigation. Admission to practice in Oregon is required, with admission in Washington preferred. A client following or demonstrated business development success is advantageous.

Duties

• Manage files throughout the litigation process independently and as part of a team.
• Conduct fact investigations.
• Handle document productions and other discovery tasks.
• Prepare witnesses for deposition.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Review and analyze policies, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, including oral arguments of motions.
• Prepare for and attend trials, including trial team support and direct and cross-examination of witnesses.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in Oregon.
• Admission in Washington preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Client following or demonstrated business development success preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Oregon.
