Job Overview

A law firm seeks a senior attorney with expertise in health care and life sciences law for its Milwaukee, WI office. The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience, particularly in clinical research-related contracting and regulatory compliance. This role requires managing complex matters autonomously, advising sophisticated clients, and collaborating with firm leadership to grow the practice.

Duties

  • Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and strategic structuring of complex agreements, including CTAs, DUAs, MTAs, and BAAs.
  • Advise clients on compliance with regulatory frameworks such as FDA regulations, the Common Rule, and HIPAA.
  • Provide business-oriented guidance on clinical research operations and regulatory strategy.
  • Develop and oversee policies and contracting frameworks for clients.
  • Collaborate on sophisticated regulatory and transactional matters.
  • Mentor and support junior attorneys and associates.
  • Participate in practice development and client relationship management.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one state bar.
  • 6+ years of experience in health care and/or life sciences law.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating CTAs, DUAs, MTAs, and BAAs.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical research compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to manage complex matters independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
