Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dynamic and motivated Bankruptcy Attorney to join its team in Richmond, Virginia. This full-time position offers a hybrid remote and in-office work environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and contribute effectively to the team.

Duties

  • Draft bankruptcy motions and other legal filings.
  • Attend hearings and court appearances.
  • Communicate with clients, internal staff, and others to ensure proper case handling.
  • Manage a high volume of files with attention to detail and under strict deadlines.
  • Perform quality control reviews of documents and staff work.
  • Maintain data integrity in a case management system.

Requirements

  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work well in a team or independently.
  • Substantive knowledge of bankruptcy law.
  • Must be VA barred.
  • 2+ years' experience preferred; relevant background considered.
  • Experience with banks, mortgage servicers, real estate, or litigation is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Virginia.

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
