Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Orlando, FL to represent clients in complex litigation matters. The role involves advocating in state, municipal, and federal courts, managing cases through all litigation phases, and collaborating with clients and colleagues to achieve effective outcomes.

Duties

  • Represent clients in municipal, state, and federal courts.
  • Prepare and present oral arguments and exhibits.
  • Oversee legal assistants and paralegals in case management.
  • Handle discovery and all litigation phases for contested cases.
  • Manage appellate cases, including research and brief writing.
  • Negotiate settlements and advise clients on legal rights.
  • Draft and review legal documents and templates.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on legal proceedings.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • Admission to the Bar in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Notary Public preferred.
  • Experience as a law clerk or intern preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products.
  • Ability to manage a large caseload.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate degree.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Bar.
  • Notary Public preferred.
