Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Garden City, NY, is seeking a mid-to-senior-level litigation associate to support its healthcare and medical malpractice litigation practice. This opportunity involves direct representation of hospitals, medical professionals, and healthcare institutions in high-stakes legal disputes. Duties:

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategies for complex medical malpractice cases

• Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and legal memoranda

• Conduct an in-depth analysis of medical records and case-related healthcare documentation

• Represent clients during court proceedings, including hearings and conferences

• Participate in depositions of parties and experts

• Engage with expert witnesses and consultants in the medical field

• Perform comprehensive legal and medical research to support case arguments

• Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients throughout the litigation process

• Manage time-sensitive tasks efficiently while meeting litigation deadlines

• Foster productive team collaboration with legal and support staff

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of New York

• Between 2 to 7 years of experience handling medical malpractice or healthcare litigation

• Demonstrated proficiency in court appearances, legal drafting, and case evaluation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active admission to the New York State Bar
