Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney for a hybrid position in Los Angeles, California. The role involves managing a diverse caseload of personal injury claims, collaborating with other attorneys, and leading case management teams to effectively represent clients.

Duties

  • Manage a heavy caseload and all phases of personal injury cases.
  • Conduct thorough case investigations to determine liability and damages.
  • Draft and file legal documents needed in litigation and discovery disputes.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Provide exceptional client service, keeping clients informed about case progress.
  • First chair civil jury trials.

Requirements

  • Lawyer in good standing to practice law in the state.
  • 7+ years of personal injury experience with a focus on trial.
  • Minimum of 10+ civil jury trials to verdict.
  • Excellent knowledge of state laws, regulations, and legal procedures for personal injury cases.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successful case management and client representation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
