Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Technology Specialist (Cellular) for its Chicago, IL office. This role is integral to the Intellectual Property practice, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and top-tier clients. The position provides significant responsibility and growth potential through hands-on training with experienced legal teams.

Duties

  • Draft patent applications, including descriptions and figures.
  • Correspond with the patent office regarding pending applications.
  • Advise patent litigation teams based on technical expertise.
  • Interview inventors about new ideas.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field.
  • Experience in Telecommunications and Cellular Communications standards.
  • 2+ years of patent prosecution experience preferred.
  • Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
  • Registered before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

 

Certifications

  • U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration.

 

Skills

  • Strong technical and scientific expertise.
  • Excellent communication and writing abilities.
