Patent Agent (Technology/Engineering)

Job Overview
A law firm seeks an exceptional Patent Agent to join their growing intellectual property team in Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, or Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and excellent writing and communication skills.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients on intellectual property strategies.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Patent Agent.
• Technical experience in telecommunications, electronic circuit design, signal processing, computer engineering, and/or software.
• Admitted to practice before the USPTO.

Education

• Undergraduate degree in electrical or computer engineering; advanced degree preferred.

Certifications

• USPTO registration.
