Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Attorney in Los Angeles to join their team. The role involves leveraging legal expertise in personal injury, medical case management, liens, and subrogation to maximize client recoveries post-settlement.

Duties

• Provide leadership and guidance to Liens Negotiators and Assistants.
• Communicate and negotiate with medical providers and lienholders.
• Train staff on negotiating and documenting liens.
• Resolve outstanding liens to maximize client recovery.
• Stay informed of lien laws and regulations.
• Assist clients with lien-related inquiries.
• Draft correspondence and legal memoranda on lien matters.
• Collaborate with litigation, settlement, and accounting teams.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Personal Injury Liens.
• 5+ years of experience in personal injury or healthcare lien resolution.
• Knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes preferred.
• Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar preferred.
• Experience with governmental and private insurance lien resolution.
• Experience writing department processes and procedures preferred.
• Experience in a plaintiff's law firm preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California Bar License preferred.
