Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled Intellectual Property Associate to join their team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in IP law, focusing on trademark prosecution, IP transactions, and litigation, providing legal support on various matters related to the protection, enforcement, and commercialization of intellectual property assets.

Duties

• Manage and prosecute domestic and international trademark applications.
• Conduct clearance searches and respond to office actions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements.
• Advise clients on IP strategy and portfolio management.
• Represent clients in trademark opposition and infringement proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare litigation documents.
• Assist in the enforcement of IP rights and defense against infringement claims.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IP law.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a law firm or in-house legal department preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active California bar membership in good standing.
