Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters, with a preference for candidates familiar with New York.

Duties

• Represent debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and stakeholders in bankruptcy and restructuring cases.
• Handle Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings.
• Engage in distressed M&A transactions and creditor negotiations.
• Participate in distressed asset sales and acquisitions.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or similar environment.
• Strong academic credentials and superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with distressed investing, private credit, and capital solutions preferred.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice.
