Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Associate to join its team in Denver, CO. This role involves working on innovative patent prosecution and litigation matters alongside experienced attorneys. The position offers a dynamic environment for professional growth and development.

Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO.
• Develop and manage strategic IP portfolios for clients.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior associates.
• Conduct pre-litigation diligence and draft pleadings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare expert witnesses.
• Engage in post-grant proceedings, such as inter partes reviews.
• Take and defend depositions.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of post-JD experience in patent prosecution and IP litigation.
• Admission to practice before the USPTO.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in MA, NY, CA, or DC.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering required.
• Graduate degree or industry experience in these disciplines preferred.

Certifications

• Admission to practice before the USPTO.
