Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Immigration Associate Attorney for its Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in employment-based immigration, including handling H-1Bs, PERMs, I-140s, AOS, E's, O-1s, L-1s, and TN's. The role involves managing client work and supporting various business immigration matters.

Duties

  • Prepare and support employment-based petitions from intake through filing.
  • Assess visa options and assign and track cases.
  • Draft legal arguments and conduct regular status calls with clients.
  • Assist in managing clients and internal teams for immigration needs.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of employment-based immigration experience.
  • Strong advocacy, research, and writing skills.
  • High-level attention to detail and strong academic credentials.
  • Experience supervising junior associates and support staff.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Ability to take initiative and stay organized.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
