Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled and motivated Senior Attorney with expertise in trademark law for its Pittsburgh, PA office. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support across various industries, focusing on trademark registration, branding, enforcement, and litigation.

Duties

• Manage the trademark application process, including conducting searches and filing applications with the USPTO.
• Respond to office actions and coordinate with clients to resolve registration issues.
• Develop and manage global trademark portfolio strategies and international applications.
• Implement strategies for trademark enforcement and address potential infringement issues.
• Draft cease-and-desist letters and negotiate settlement agreements.
• Assist in trademark litigation, including legal research and preparing pleadings.
• Collaborate with external counsel on complex litigation cases.
• Work closely with other attorneys to ensure a cohesive approach to trademark matters.
• Participate in client meetings and outreach efforts to promote trademark services.

Requirements

• 9-15 years of experience in trademark law, with a focus on prosecution and enforcement.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective client and colleague communication.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar applicable to the office location.
• USPTO registration preferred.
