Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior/Mid-Level Associate Attorney in Washington. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and be adept at handling various legal tasks with precision and professionalism.

Duties

  • Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and draft discovery documents.
  • Prepare written responses and documents for discovery.
  • Conduct witness interviews and trial preparation.
  • Prepare trial and deposition materials.
  • Appear in court for motions hearings and trials.
  • Assist with additional client matters as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in family law.
  • Experience with contested divorce litigation preferred.
  • Admitted to the D.C., VA, or MD Bars.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and creative solution skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Commitment to high-quality service.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in D.C., VA, or MD.

Skills

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
