Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior-level associate to join the Asset Finance practice in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative cross-border matters within a collaborative team environment.

Duties

  • Develop, draft, and negotiate various financial agreements and documentation.
  • Collaborate on the creation of new structured finance products.
  • Guide transaction execution, including document preparation and negotiation.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to align documentation with operational realities.
  • Stay informed on market and legal changes affecting finance arrangements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of asset finance experience.
  • Aircraft finance experience required.
  • Admitted to the New York Bar or eligible for admission.
  • Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity.
  • Commercial and business awareness.
  • Outstanding communication and drafting skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proactive and resourceful with a client service focus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to the New York Bar.
