Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Attorney in Reading, PA. The attorney will manage a caseload from intake through resolution, including litigation, in a fast-paced environment. Success requires strong communication, prioritization, and resilience under pressure.

Duties

  • Represent clients in personal injury matters from pre-litigation through trial.
  • Advocate for clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
  • Develop and execute case strategies to maximize outcomes.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
  • Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania law, court rules, and ethical standards.
  • Conduct initial consultations and case evaluations.
  • Maintain consistent, proactive client communication.
  • Take ownership of a caseload, ensuring efficient progress and meeting deadlines.
  • Prepare demand packages and respond to written discovery.
  • Conduct legal research to support litigation strategy.
  • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and strategy sessions.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
  • Active member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) desirable.
  • 3-5+ years of personal injury litigation experience.
  • Experience with trial, depositions, and negotiations required.
  • Experience with catastrophic injury, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and/or elder abuse matters preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
