Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Associate Attorney in Tukwila, WA, to support its business and real estate transactional practice. This mostly remote position requires availability at the firm's office once per week or as needed. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in relevant practice areas and be licensed in Washington State.

Duties

  • Form LLCs, Corporations, and other business entities.
  • Draft operating agreements and corporate governance documents.
  • Draft and review business agreements, including purchase and sales, assignments, or transfers of interest.
  • Draft real estate transactional documents, including property transfers and joint ventures.
  • Advise clients through the purchase or sale of a property.
  • Review title reports and draft easements and seller financing documentation.
  • Support general business and real estate transactional matters as needed.
  • Advise clients on excise and controlling interest taxes and related exemptions.

Requirements

  • Licensed attorney in Washington State.
  • 2-5 years of experience in business and real estate law preferred.
  • Strong research, writing, organizational, and case management abilities.
  • Confidence in working with clients and in court.
  • Positive, resourceful, and enthusiastic about working in a collaborative environment.
  • Comfortable with virtual court hearings and remote collaboration tools.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State.

Skills

  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Organizational and case management abilities.
  • Proficiency with modern legal technology.
