Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Junior Attorney specializing in Litigation and Personal Injury for an on-site, full-time position in Los Angeles, California. The role involves managing personal injury cases from inception to resolution, providing legal advice, and representing clients in various legal proceedings.

Duties

  • Handle personal injury case files from start to finish.
  • Evaluate potential claims and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Draft and review legal documents including claims, motions, and pleadings.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant evidence.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and insurance adjusters.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and mediations.
  • Update case files in the management system.
  • Manage a team of paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Track appointments and court deadlines.
  • Calculate costs and draft settlement breakdowns.

Requirements

  • JD, licensed and admitted to the California State Bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to the California State Bar.

Skills

  • Experience with Westlaw preferred.
  • Experience with CasePeer preferred.
