Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney specializing in Civil Litigation to join their team in San Diego. This role offers an opportunity to excel in a supportive environment that values work-life balance and professional growth.

Duties

  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients.
  • Confidently take and defend depositions, examine experts.
  • Conduct all work leading up to trial, including motions, discovery, and research.
  • Assist and participate in trials.
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
  • Attend occasional networking events.

Requirements

  • Previous 5 years of litigation experience.
  • Member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to perform with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Trial experience desired but not necessary.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California.

  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
