Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with strong legal writing skills in the area of pharmaceutical/medical device Daubert/Rule 702 motions practice to join its Litigation group in San Diego, CA. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on product liability litigation.

Duties

  • Communicate effectively with clients.
  • Supervise junior associates.
  • Collaborate with experts in the field.
  • Assist with fact development and depositions.
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Contribute to case strategy development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Extensive experience writing briefs, particularly on Rule 702 and Daubert issues.
  • Experience in products liability litigation.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of application.
  • New York bar admission is encouraged.
