A law firm seeks an experienced Liens Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will provide legal guidance and strategic support to the Liens Department, focusing on the negotiation and resolution of personal injury liens. Duties

  • Provide legal counsel and support in negotiating and resolving personal injury liens.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of lien-related issues in active cases.
  • Analyze lien claims to identify opportunities for reducing obligations and maximizing client recovery.
  • Communicate and negotiate with various stakeholders to achieve favorable lien resolutions.
  • Advocate for clients to ensure accurate and valid lien claims.
  • Monitor and stay current on applicable lien laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare related documents.
  • Support client inquiries regarding lien status and resolution timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of lien negotiations and settlements.
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop effective case resolution strategies.

Requirements

  • Licensed attorney in good standing with the CA State Bar.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in personal injury law or healthcare lien resolution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of personal injury liens, including Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms and case management systems.
  • Experience in a plaintiff-side personal injury law firm preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical billing and health insurance processes preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
