Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its Litigation Department in Los Angeles, CA. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to support senior trial attorneys on complex, high-exposure personal injury cases, providing valuable mentorship and hands-on experience in litigation strategy, trial preparation, and courtroom advocacy.

Duties

  • Support senior attorneys in managing catastrophic injury litigation cases.
  • Assist with legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in case strategy sessions, trial preparation, and client communications under senior attorney guidance.
  • Attend and assist with depositions, mediations, hearings, and arbitrations (virtually and in-person as needed).
  • Coordinate with experts, medical providers, and clients to support case development.
  • Ensure all case documentation complies with legal and firm standards.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active California Bar license.
  • 2+ years of litigation experience in personal injury or civil litigation preferred.
  • Strong legal writing and research skills.
  • Prior experience with depositions, mediations, or motion work is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with senior attorneys and litigation teams.
  • Client-centered approach with strong interpersonal communication.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California Bar license.
