Job Overview

A rapidly growing personal injury law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and strategic Intake Attorney to lead its Intake Department. This full-time role involves managing intake staff, optimizing departmental operations, and evaluating potential client cases. The position offers an exciting opportunity to be the first point of legal contact for individuals in need and play a pivotal role in the firm's continued growth.

Location

  • Los Angeles, California

Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the Intake Department

  • Supervise and mentor intake staff, including conducting performance evaluations

  • Engage directly with potential clients to assess the viability of personal injury cases

  • Answer legal questions and provide accurate, empathetic initial counsel

  • Develop and enhance intake processes for efficiency and compliance

  • Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of client data in firm systems

  • Review and approve retainer agreements and client engagement documentation

  • Collaborate with marketing and firm leadership to streamline client onboarding and retention

Requirements

  • Active membership in the California State Bar

  • Prior experience in personal injury law

  • Previous supervisory or intake management experience preferred

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Proficient in legal client management software and systems

  • Commitment to delivering professional and compassionate service

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills

  • Strong case evaluation and legal triage skills

  • Ability to manage and lead a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective multitasking and prioritization under tight deadlines

  • High emotional intelligence and client sensitivity
