Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Attorney experienced in Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code to join their team in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Article 9 and have at least 10 years of relevant legal experience.

Duties

  • Advise on all matters relating to the UCC and commercial finance, including transaction structuring.
  • Review transactional documents.
  • Focus on collateral and intercreditor issues in various financing transactions.
  • Advise on collateral matters concerning personal property under Article 9 and other statutes.
  • Advise debtors and lenders in restructurings and insolvency proceedings.
  • Provide guidance on third-party opinion letters and contract law matters.

Requirements

  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Law firm experience required.
  • Admitted to practice and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of Article 9 of the UCC.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in contract drafting and review.
