Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Debt Finance Associate to join its practice in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in structuring, documenting, and negotiating secured and unsecured financing transactions for borrowers and lenders.

Duties

  • Structure and document secured and unsecured financing transactions.
  • Negotiate terms for senior secured, mezzanine, and subordinated debt transactions.
  • Handle acquisition financings and loan workouts.
  • Provide strategic market insight and operational support.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of relevant experience in debt finance.
  • Experience with leveraged finance in mergers and acquisitions preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of Utah or eligibility to waive in.
