Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney in Oklahoma City, OK. The candidate must be able to reliably commute or relocate. The role involves providing comprehensive legal services and requires a strong understanding of federal Indian law.

Duties

  • Travel to off-site meetings with prospective and current clients.
  • Apply knowledge of business issues, legal procedures, and applicable regulatory authority to counsel clients effectively.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare necessary legal memoranda, pleadings, and documents.
  • Appear at hearings and trials as needed and/or assigned.
  • Draft tribal codes, regulations, and agreements; analyze and review legal documents.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience required; litigation experience preferred.
  • Comply with all court and state bar licensure obligations, including continuing legal education requirements.
  • Driver's license.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited university.

Certifications

  • License from the Oklahoma Bar Association.

  • Knowledge of Federal Indian law and its key statutes.
