Corporate Associate (M&A/PE)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate with expertise in M&A and private equity to join its practice in San Diego or San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic transactions and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service.

Duties

• Advise on acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, and private equity transactions.
• Provide efficient legal services independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in strategic M&A and private equity.
• Experience gained at a leading national or international law firm preferred.
• Strong academic credentials and critical reasoning skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Professionalism in client and colleague interactions.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage competing responsibilities.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborative and effective team player.

Education

• JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted or eligible for admission in California.
