Job Overview
An established law firm is seeking experienced attorneys to join its Asset Management Practice Group as Remote Funds Attorneys. This unique opportunity offers full remote work and hourly compensation for billable work. The group is comprised of a highly collaborative team of 20+ attorneys focusing on complex fund investment transactions on behalf of institutional investor clients. This role is ideal for attorneys with backgrounds in asset management, private equity transactions, tax, securities, or litigation, and is also open to those seeking to transition into the asset management space.

Location

  • Boston, MA

Duties

  • Represent institutional investor clients in a wide range of specialized fund investment transactions

  • Collaborate with a remote legal team focused solely on asset management matters

  • Review, analyze, and negotiate fund documents and related transactional materials

  • Provide legal advice related to private equity, hedge funds, and other investment structures

  • Adapt skills from related fields such as tax, securities, and private equity into the fund management legal context

Requirements

  • Experience in asset management, private equity transactions, tax, securities, litigation, or related legal practice areas

  • Strong interest in or willingness to transition into fund-focused legal work

  • Ability to manage time and deliver high-quality work independently in a remote environment

  • Willingness to work on an hourly billable model

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school or equivalent international degree

Certifications

  • Active Bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction where the firm maintains an office (physical presence in that state not required)

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Strong interpersonal and client service orientation

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage a fast-paced, remote workload
